The topic of tipping frequently comes up in the beauty industry, and my team is no stranger to inconsistent gratuity. It seems the growing trend is that consumers have become less apt to tip a makeup artist or hair stylist when the services are performed on location. I'm not sure if that is because they assume the gratuity is already included in their service price or if they just don't know when or how much to tip.
What's better than a red carpet, celebrity fashion show in Minneapolis? A red carpet fashion show with Maserati's and James Bond. WarPaint International Beauty Agency was invited to produce the opening runway segment for the 1st annual Rumble on the Runway | MN Fashion Awards. Being a first year event I was skeptical at first, but after taking a look at the size and theme of the event I knew this would be a great opportunity for my team. The other 3 teams that we were to compete against were: Atmosfere, MINQ & Showroom. At that point I was very intrigued and said I would propose this fun idea to the team. When I did, the vote was unanimous and everyone wanted in, and got especially excited when I told them the theme was "James Bond: Dressed to Kill". We immediately got to planning.
