Wendy - Minneapolis Hair & Makeup Artisan
What makes your artistry unique?: I love to feel involved in the exciting process of designing the wedding look. I like to fancy myself a part of the family! My approach to my artistry is a personal one. Beyond wanting to make my bride look like an Instagram influencer, my goal is to give her a timeless, elegant and exciting look that will showcase her beauty and not the current trends or even my skills! In my book, every bride is uniquely beautiful; no two brides should to look the same.
That being said, I am a good listener, and pretty good at translating what I hear into a look she will love.
What inspires you? Love inspires me. I love listening to the stories about how my brides and grooms fell in love. It gives me some insight into what needs to be celebrated! A glimpse into my client’s inner and natural beauty is all I need as a solid base for a gorgeous, personal look.
Style Icon: Grace Kelly, Bridget Bardott, Maria Felix, Dita Von Teese, Angelina Jolie, Gwen Stefani, Marion Cotillard, Audrey Tatou… All over the spectrum of loveliness!
Hobbies/Interests: I am a lover of books, food, and anything the BBC has put on the air. I am a regular vocal ensemble singer at my church and just recently took up cross stitching, like a sweet old lady… If sweet old ladies embroidered geekerie and sarcasm into hankies.
