Do I need to be certified?
Not necassarily. WarPaint International is a legally registered LLC, operating as a beauty agency in Minneapolis, MN. The state of MN does however require a license to operate as a cosmotologist or employ cosmotologists whom may be using scissors, razors, hair dyes or other items that could potentially cause bodily harm.
Do I need insurance?
Yes. WarPaint Artisans are all insured for liability in the event an accident were to happen. We are a mobile agency, operating in other people's homes, work spaces, or venues. Should you choose not to carry liability insurance to protect your own assets, WarPaint International will require you to sign a waiver form releasing it from any legal action that may arise due to your negligence or accidental harm to a WarPaint client.
Do I need to have a portfolio?
In short - Yes. However, many artists work in editorial and corporate environments and do not own the rights to their work. Yes. As with all freelance opportunities, you are self-employed. WarPaint international expects you to represent its brand and your talent by presenting a professional image with an organized kit of professional supplies. Please inquire if you are uncertain which supplies may meet the requirements.

Yes. Our customers' privacy and safety is very important to us, as well as the safety of our artists.
