The Search for Beauty
What is Beauty? Am I beautiful?
If you would have asked me 7 months ago what beauty was, I would not have included myself in the conversation. Which sadly, 96% of women would say the same thing.
Seven months ago, I was a different person. I was living an unhealthy lifestyle. I overindulged in alcohol; I had poor eating habits, and zero exercise. The result of this lifestyle led to depression, low self- esteem / self-worth. Bottom line, I didn’t feel comfortable in my own skin. At times, I didn’t even like looking in the mirror.
Shortly after the first of the year, I made a decision to make some changes in my life.
Modere. The Live Clean Movement.
I decided to join the Live Clean Movement. A movement powered by Modere, a lifestyle brand that has a mission to create 10 million healthy homes.
The next decision was the biggest one to date, but the most important one, I knew I had to remove one of the biggest toxins in my life, alcohol. I didn’t think I was capable of doing it.
Seven months later, I’m still alcohol free.
You are a reflection of you.
My eating habits have changed and I exercise regularly. Which all led to a 30 pound weight loss.
As, I sit here and reflect on my Live Clean Journey, I’m overcome with emotion.
My depression is gone. My self-esteem/self-worth both has been boosted. There are some mornings that I wake up and I can’t believe that I get to be this happy.
Beauty by Society's Definition.
As a woman, there is so much pressure to be beautiful and everyone has a different idea or definition of beauty. I think being BEAUTIFUL is being the best version of you.
I am a work in progress; I imagine you are to. But today, when I look in the mirror, my search for beauty is staring back at me.
I dare say, for the first time ever,
I am Beautiful.
